How to Grow Hair Back on Head Naturally at Home

Losing hair can add to social embarrassment, and indirectly result in low self esteem. Although growing bald isn’t as alien as it used to be many years ago, it does carry its fair share of added insecurities. For example, a single man may wonder if he’ll ever find a girl willing to marry someone bald. A woman may feel even more insecure about having scanty hair. People often place a lot of importance in how they look and looking perfect is a goal everyone works towards. Our physical appearance defines our social standing, and whether one accepts this fact or not, your hair plays an extremely important role in this.

There are plenty of ways to help reduce hair fall, and avoid growing bald. But if you’ve already lost a considerable amount of hair, then the following methods will help you control hair fall, as well as help grow some hair too.

1. Use oil

grow-hair-backOne of the most tried and tested methods used for many decades is to use oil. There are several different types of oil that can be used to reduce hair fall and make your hair thicker and stronger. Coconut oil is one such oil which can have a tremendous impact on the quality of your hair within a very short span of time. Use coconut oil to massage your scalp with your fingers.

Coconut oil will tend to solidify in the cold, so heating it and applying it will make it more effective. Try to leave the oil overnight or if possible at least for a couple of hours. Use a mild shampoo to wash away the extra oil the following day. Giving your hair a chance to re-vitalize is just as important. Using castor oil, olive oil and peppermint oil from time to time instead of the coconut oil will also help improve the quality of your hair.

2. Apply cayenne pepper

For centuries now, cayenne pepper has been used to promote hair growth and reduce bald patches. Cayenne pepper is used to nourish the scalp and can help regulate peripheral blood circulation in the skin on your head. Add one gram of Cayenne pepper to about 15-20 ml of olive oil and store in a cool and dry place for about 2 weeks.

Keep away from heat and sunlight, as this may destroy the nutritious value of the mixture. Apply this mixture to your head or bald patches as you would do with any other oil or hair product. Let it rest for 30 minutes to an hour, then wash it off using a mild shampoo. Ensure that all the mixture has been washed away. You can do this regularly for 10-12 days at a stretch. Don’t over use the mixture as this may cause dryness of the scalp.

3. Use mixture of egg, honey, and coconut oil

Another extremely effective way to reduce hair fall is to use egg, honey and coconut oil together. A single egg yolk can be mixed with 10 ml of coconut oil and 10 ml of honey. Keep whisking this mixture until, you get a smooth and thick paste. Apply this paste to your head and keep the head covered for at least 2 hours. Ensure the mixture doesn’t flow out of the hair. Washing the mixture off using a mild shampoo should be enough, use mild products if you feel the need to mask the smell of egg further.

Don’t use a hair dryer immediately after washing the mixture from your hair. Allow the scalp to retain some of the moisture from the mixture. This mixture will also help reduce scalp dryness and itchiness. Some people have reported hair growth back in as little as two months after using this mixture regularly. You may notice some discoloration or fading of your hair because of the honey. This is normal, and your hair will regain its original color after a few weeks.

4. Use shampoo and conditioner

One of the most effective yet most overlooked methods of keeping your hair healthy is to use shampoo and conditioner. While shampooing your hair, do so gently and take the time to massage the scalp of your head. If you are already witnessing bald patches, then don’t’ overlook these patches when you are shampooing your hair. Ensure you take the time to massage your bald patches as much as you would with the rest of your scalp.

Remember, shampoo is for your scalp and your conditioner is for the hair. So ensure you use enough shampoo and rub it thoroughly on your scalp. Use lukewarm water to wash away the shampoo once done. A lot of hair experts mention allowing the shampoo to rest on your scalp for some time, but there hasn’t been any significant proof to substantiate this claim. After washing off the shampoo, don’t forget to use conditioner. Most conditioners will contain enough nutrients and vitamins to help re-vitalize your hair. While using a conditioner ensure you begin close to the roots of your hair all the way to the tip.

Using a shampoo and conditioner can greatly improve the quality of your hair, but overusing them could cause significant damage. Ensure that you shampoo your hair only once every three to four days. Too much hair products can damage the growth of hair as well as weaken its roots.

5. Take sufficient amount of nutrition, water and sleep

All of the above mentioned suggestions would be useless if you don’t get enough sleep, drink enough water, and eat healthy food. A healthy person will often have great looking hair, and will rarely be bald. Although hereditary factors play a key role in baldness, most people grow bald before time or due to poor sleep routines, and poor diet. Eating a healthy and well balanced diet consisting of green leafy vegetables and fruits can make a big difference.

Hydrating yourself regularly can ensure that your hair remains healthy and remains thick and strong. Hair repair and hair growth are basic maintenance functions carried out by the body when a person is asleep. So, sleeping well will not only help your hair grow properly, but also help overcome other health problems in your day to day life.

Following some or all of the steps mentioned here will help you grow hair back on your head as well as reduce hair fall significantly.
